Trespass

She's a hard-hitting, take-no-shit vigilante in Oasis, Texas. That's all she knows, that's what she's happy being. But is there more to her than meets the eye?

All stories by Dave Benson.

#1: The Drive
Introducing Trespass. Typical first-issue, introducing the character and what was probably intended to be the supporting cast.

Trespass's sister, Swarm, is in town. Sibling rivalries were never meant to be this way.
#3: Bad Blood
Trespass confronts Swarm in the latter's hotel room.
#4: Trouble in Oasis
Trespass investigates a seeming suicide, which leads her on a trail which could implicate one of Oasis's leading businessmen.
#5: Curiosity and the Cat
Trespass's investigations prove lethal!

Notes from the Editor-in-Chief

When Dave first proposed the title character for Trespass, my first thought was "offspring of Jean Grey and Wolverine, with a bit of Mystique thrown in for good measure", particularly as how Dave described the character's powers and attitude. I can't remember why I gave the title the green light for StarFall, but I think it was my wanting to give the new kid on the block some benefit of the doubt.

I'm sure Dave intended the title to continue with the title character surviving her apparent death.

Unlike myself, Jamie, Paul, and Wil, Dave didn't claim any literature other than comics as inspiration. Nor did he really have any means of tying the title into the rest; Swamp Patrol, City Streets, Blood Ties, and Metal Fire all tied together, either through crossovers, cameos of title characters in other titles, use of the background conspiracy characters, or reference to a "para-gene", my not-so-clever adaptation of Marvel's "mutant gene". A true shared universe. Trespass didn't seem to fit.

As the Old StarFall Universe is no longer active, and with Trespass's apparent death at the end of #5, all this is a moot point anyways .
