Within every one of us lives a kind of beast made of rage. Dr. Bruce Banner knows this all too well: In seeking to tap into the bursts of adrenaline-fueled strength that Humans can tap into in moments of rage and frustration, he tested a process on himself, exposing himself to ten times as much concentrated gamma radiation needed to kill him outright. Now in moments of stress, he is able to unleash his repressed anger as a half-ton green-skinned behemoth that has been dubbed the Hulk.
The Incredible Hulk follows Banner's attempts to cure himself of or at the least control the beast he has unleashed, and the various forces that seek to control him or use him as a weapon.
