Tana was a favorite of mine for a long time. She was a shifter, a magician specializing in dimensional travel and summoning. She had a sense of honor other shifters normally don't have: she never summoned a demon, prefering to stick with elementals, and never allowed any elemental under her control to be destroyed.

Tana was in two campaigns; the first was a short-lived PBeM campaign that fizzled when we changed GMs, the second was a long-standing interstellar campaign. As a result of the first, Tana ended up spending some time in 20th Century Las Vegas; this was referenced several times in the second campaign.

When the second game ended, Tana had been thrown majorly out of balance due to the GM's not-so-subtle tinkering. I ended up leaving that campaign due to ideological differences with the GM when he refused to explain a call, explaining a lack of a saving throw against magic (with a spell that normally requires one) only with "my game, my rules; don't like it, leave." So four of us up and left right there on the spot. What follows below is the result of trimming the character back to playable levels.

I did not use the "book" shifter, nor the so-called "revised" shifter from Dark Conversions. I made my own revised shifter, which several other long-time Rifts players liked better than both official versions. An interesting note is that she only fired her laser rifle once in my entire time playing her; she relied almost entirely on her spells.

Tana perhaps has the longest character sheet of all my characters, primarily due to the number of spells and other assorted odds and ends she accumulated during play.
