Apogee-class Cruiser
The primary capital ship in use by the Earth Defense Alliance, the Apogee is a dedicated cruiser, armed with both heavy guns and missiles. The Apogee is a veteran of the Glrrü War, having originally been designed by India as their flagship in space. The design has proven its worth time and again, and there is no current plans for replacing it.
The Apogee-class Criuser is often deployed as the command ship of a small task force consisting of it and six Battleaxe destroyers, or as part of a larger force consisting of six Apogees, twelve Battleaxes, and either a Black Widow battleship or Andromeda carrier. They are also assigned alongside Korolev strike carriers; when this happens, there are typically two Apogees for every Korolev, with Battleaxe escorts.
