The Bahlaki are a race of large, cat-like beings from a sector of space on the far side of the Milky Way Galaxy from Earth. Standing at an average height of 8.5-9.4 feet for males and 7.6-8.1 for females. Their body mass and tissue density makes them much heavier than their builds suggest. Being from a heavy gravity world (2.68 g's), their skin, bones, and other tissue are almost five times as dense as a human’s, making them low-level MDC creatures. The color of their fur, which covers their entire body except for the nose, eyes, and paw pads, varies between a light tawny ocher and a dark cinnamon. All Bahlaki possess a three to four foot long tail, which is tipped by a broad, leaf-patterned barb. The barb contains glands that produce an extremely potent neuro-toxin, capable of killing most creatures in seconds. The only observable difference between the males and females is the girth of the torso, which is usually more slim on the females, and their manes. On the males, the mane grows down the length of the back, terminating about a foot above the base of the tail, while a females ends near the middle of the back.

When Earth’s ley lines surged into activity after their long dormancy, many ships and individuals from across the galaxy were drawn to Earth. Very few Bahlaki were Rifted from their ships and homes, although several small craft were Rifted into near-Earth orbit. Most of these either crash landed on Earth or managed to escape the planet’s gravity well and take off for other parts of near-Earth space. Those who found themselves on earth are trapped here with, no way to return to space. The vast majority of these stranded aliens landed in either singles, pairs, or in a full scout craft’s company. The largest group of Bahlaki any adventurers are likely to come across will be no greater than 2D6 individuals.

Natural Abilities: Bahlaki have superior hearing, able to hear frequencies outside human range, have a sense of smell that is equivalent to a bloodhound’s, are able to see in the dark up to 120 feet. In addition, their immune system is superior to a human's enabling one to resist toxins, poisons, and diseases better.

Available OCCs: Any Men-of-Arms, Scholar, or Adventurer OCC. There are no Magic-using or Psionic Bahlaki.

RCC Skills: These skills are in addition to any skills

Combat: In addition to any OCC or attribute bonuses, the following bonuses apply: two additional attacks per melee, +3 to initiative, +1 to strike, +2 to dodge, +2 to roll with punch, fall, impact, or explosion, and +1 to pull punch.

Armor: Any bahlaki stranded on earth will have an set of armor with 70 MDC to the chestplate, and 30 MDC to the helmet.

Weapons: Any bahlaki stranded on earth will have the following weapons salvaged from the ship:

Equipment: portable translator, portable data player/recorder, small toolkit, and a 01-30% chance of some other equipment salvaged from the ship.

Vehicle: There is 01-30% chance of a 2 man hover platform or other vehicle able to be salvaged from the ship wreckage.
