Dr. Otto Octavius is one of the world's leading authorities in nuclear fusion. However, a freak accident left him a widower and fused a quartet of extensible arms to his spine. As the song goes, "Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose," and Octavius has essentially lost it all.
Doctor Octopus explores what drives a good man to engage in criminal behavior, and the descent into madness and villainy. Time to root for the bad guy!
