[Arsenal] the Away Team (for lack of a better name) is in plain sight the entire time, never pausing for a moment as they walk towards the tavern. * Monika follows a good distance behind (Taking 10 on my hide and move silently checks to shadow them. That gives me a 22 on each.) * Bourne paces the deck, waiting for word. How well spaced are the rooftops? Overhanging the streets or well spaced away from each other? ((Would anyone mind if I casted comerade's trail on someone in the away team?)) [Arsenal] overhanging the streets. 'k ((Basically makes a string that only the party can see and follow)) "Moni, Vesh, I'm going to do some steeplechasing. When we get to the tavern, I'll keep watch on the back." [Arsenal] Para: that a touch spell or a ranged spell? ((It's touch, Paradigm would have casted it before they left the ship, since they weren't off the ship at the end of last game)) * Monika nods. "Yes, please do." * Curuar slides into an alley to find a quick way up to the rooftops * Veshengo nods. "Sure." He runs along and stays hidden, jumping to the rooftops when there isn't enough junk or shadows to hide in. [Arsenal] The captain wouldn't have allowed it on himself, the first mate, or the doctor ((I'm talking about on vesh, curu, or monika)) [Arsenal] (up to them, then... I was using "away team" to mean the officers) (Vesh wouldn't allow it. But Monika or Curuar might.) * Monika will be following Cu and Vesh as she is more of an in-your-face type swashbuckler. (Monika wouldn't allow it either) [Arsenal] Vesh: taking 10 on jump as well? (Nor will the Half-Elf ) (Ooh, everyone's scared of letting the sorceror touch them) (For very good reason. Spontaneous human combustion is not a pretty sight.) (Yeah. Assuming they're no higher than 3 stories, I should be able to jump up them.) (Muahahahaha) [Arsenal] *nod* most are one story. So Vesh and I are topside Leaving me to scan the rooftops if I want to remain out of the away team's sight. [Arsenal] hmm... Vesh: you took levels of ranger, right? (A pair. Why?) [Arsenal] Gimme a survival roll, for tracking d20+9 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Veshengo (d20+9) and gets 20. [Arsenal] 1d20 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Arsenal (1d20) and gets 15. * Paradigm looks to Bourne. "I'm going downdecks for a bit." (That's including the favored 'target' bonus.) [Arsenal] you manage to keep them in sight. (Well... Tracking is usually only used for when they're out of sight and you need to follow their tracks. ^^;) * Veshengo keeps them in sight, though. He's fast like ninja, or something. [Arsenal] (due to crowds, I felt a tracking roll was necessary) (Oh, there were crowds? Didn't know. ^^;) * Curuar moves along with Vesh on the opposite side of the street "Sure thing." *continues watching the now-long-empty street* [Arsenal] They stop at the Three Moons Colliding. The doctor and captain go inside, Lt. Charboneaux stays at the front door. * Curuar skirts around to a roof overlooking the back of the tavern, pulling an arrow and keeping it ready should he need it * Monika eyes the offerings along this stretch of road. Anything to make it look like I'm window shopping instead of watching the Away Team like a hawk. * Veshengo keeps a close eye on them from the rooftops. He doesn't pull out his bow, but instead hides below the ledge of the roof with just his eyes peeking over. [Arsenal] Monika: there are a few shops in the vicinity, all closed due to the time of night. Any chimneys on this roof? [Arsenal] Cur: yes * Curuar hides in the chimney's shadow there's still some people around, right? [Arsenal] Mon: some, yes. any good looking guys? * Paradigm comes back updecks in about ten minutes. He dips his hands in a nearby bucket of water, then dumps the bucket out. * Veshengo cases the area out for easy ways to get down quickly. Barring that, he can just jump down. [Arsenal] Mon: salty sea dogs, mostly. the best you'll get are a few rugged half-elves (You know... ropes, gutters, that kinda stuff that you could slide down.) [Arsenal] Vesh: *nod* there's plenty around Sweeet. * Paradigm whistles to himself, idly casting Mage Armor upon his person. [Arsenal] None of you are entering the establishment? Not yet Going to wait for a little. I strike up a conversation with one of the half-elves.. [Arsenal] fifteen, twenty, thirty... forty-five minutes pass. * Curuar scans the rooves to see if he can spot Vesh * Veshengo makes his way around quietly and in the shadows. Is there another entrance besides this one? [Arsenal] Cur: spot check. Vesh: hide check. d20+12 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Veshengo (d20+12) and gets 18. (Pfft, that was lame.) 1d20+1 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Curuar (1d20+1) and gets 9. [Arsenal] Cur: you spot pigeons * Curuar returns to watching the back of the tavern * Paradigm leans against the edge of the boat, drifting off into sleep. It's a common sight to see Paradigm passed out under the stars instead of in his bunk, and tonight is no exception * Sylvia comes out from below deck and stands at the rear of the ship overlooking the waters. *sighs* and closes her eyes taking in a deep breath smelling the waters (Is there another entrance besides this one?) (The one that Lt. Charboneaux's guarding, anyways.) [Arsenal] Vesh: around the back of the tavern is an entrance Shuld be a back entrance for the kitchens and middens (Ah, okay. Can I spot Curuar?) [Arsenal] Cur, Vesh: reverse prior rolls. Cur rolls hide, Vesh spot 1d20 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Curuar (1d20) and gets 19. d20+1 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Veshengo (d20+1) and gets 19. Hoodyhoo! (* Roll the dice, monkeyboy.) * Sylvia hair is undone and lightly lifts with the breeze [Arsenal] Vesh: you can *barely* make out where Cur's hiding. [Arsenal] you're not sure it's hi, [Arsenal] him * Veshengo makes his way to Cur's position across the rooftops. If it's him, we can talk. If it's not, well, what the hell are they doing on the roof? [Arsenal] it's him * Sylvia opens her eyes and leans on the wood caressing the ship gently as memories flash thru her mind * Veshengo inches next to him and whispers. "Psst." * Paradigm begins to snore, mumbling insane babblings in his sleep in Draconic. *whispered* "Vesh." * Curuar does not look around at the 'Psst." * Veshengo grins and whispers back. "Yeah. Nothin's happening... I'm gonna go check it out inside." [Arsenal] Bourne: Paradigm's asleep on the main deck, Sylvia's on the raised deck above the captain's quarters. "I'll be right here, unless matters require otherwise." (is cu or vesh watching the back door?) Yes * Veshengo nods and gets down, making his way quickly to the back door while trying not to draw attention. [Arsenal] Vesh: you're not noticed * Curuar scans the rooftops, the tavernyard, the streets, back to the rooves, repeat Charboneaux still standing there? * Sylvia turns at the sounds of snoring and other stange noises traveling on the breeze [Arsenal] Mon: yes * Veshengo takes the back entrance in, then. "So, I said to the orc, 'unhand me, you rapscallion!'...." [Arsenal] Vesh: you're in the kitchen. you see things about preparing food you'd never thought you'd see. Definitely unsanitary by anyone's definition, except maybe an orc's or goblinoid's * Sylvia *chuckles* and looks back over the waters and sighs with contempment as she watches the ripples and the reflection from the stars that peak thru the clouds [Arsenal] Mon: the half-elf laughs along with you, enjoying the tale. * Veshengo makes his way to the lobby, saying under his breath. "Blech, remember not to eat here again..." * Veshengo scans around for the Captain or, um... the other person he came with. I can't remember the name. ^^; [Arsenal] Vesh: in the main part of the tavern, it's much like it was earlier, only slightly more crowded. The doctor is sitting in a chair in the corner, nursing a beer. The captain and Haroun (the minotaur) are talking softly about something. [Arsenal] (Doctor Mazarin) (Thanks.) [Arsenal] Doc Mazarin is keeping a *very* keen watch on them. *** Segev is now known as Awaymancer * Veshengo smirks. He blends in with the crowd and keeps a watch on them while trying not to look suspicious. (Not trying to read their lips or anything) [Arsenal] After a few (now 45 minutes since they entered the tavern), the captain stands up, shakes the minotaur's hand, and heads for the door. Doc Mazarin stands up and goes with him out the door. [Arsenal] Monika: after 45 minutes of flirting, you see the captain and doctor rejoin Charboneaux outside the tavern. They start heading back to the wharf. * Veshengo tails them out the tavern, jumping to the rooftops when he has the chance to make for easier tailing. I see this from the back? * Monika takes her leave graciously. "Excuse me, but I really must be going. We should meet again sometime. You sound like a capital fellow, indeed." * Veshengo doesn't hide when he gets to the roofs, so you can at least see him. And he's moving. * Curuar gives the rooves and tavernyard a final scan, then jets off after the others, watching for the Away Team [Arsenal] Cur: yes. * Veshengo tails the away team from ahead, so he can get onboard the ship before they do if it comes to that. [Arsenal] they seem to be headed straight for the ship * Curuar follows the Away Team, keeping an eye out for anyone else following them [Arsenal] spot? 1d20+1 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Curuar (1d20+1) and gets 20. HOODYHOO! [Arsenal] nobody appears to be following them * Curuar keeps an eye open, anyway. Can't be too careful [Arsenal] nobody else, that is (How close are they?) [Arsenal] Vesh: to you or to the ship? (The ship.) [Arsenal] almost there * Veshengo hops down to ground level behind one of the buildings and, through the cover of some conveniently passing pedestrians, makes his way aboard the ship without anyone (hopefully) noticing. [Arsenal] those above you see a ball of fire blaze across the sky and down over the mountains that are to the west O_O [Arsenal] s/you/decks/ * Bourne tries to calculate where it might have landed. . o O (Tar-ia! Vish?!) [Arsenal] B: hmm... gimme a math roll. I don't have math as a separate skill -- Navigation? . o O (Ianar?) I could do a default. [Arsenal] do the default... IQ-4, IIRC 3d6 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Bourne (3d6) and gets 14. Fail. Light draws her attention as she sees the light blaze, "Now that is interesting..." * Monika eyerolls. Another errand of questionable worth. Brb. * Sylvia goes to the main mast and grasps the lead line and begins to climb up to get a better view of where the light came from oO Wonder if there's a mage fight going on? Now there is something I ain't seen in a while! Definitely would mean entertainment! Oo [Arsenal] Vesh: you manage to board before the officers get back on board. Bourne and Sylvia are on deck, watching the meteor that streaked overhead. * Curuar quickly scans the area, looking from the Away Team to the streets and alleys, to the rooves, and back * Veshengo whistles. "Nice." * Paradigm mumbles, moresay suddenly shrieks "BURN!" in his sleep, loud enough to startle. Any present would silently commend Bourne on his ability to actually sleep in the same cabin. [Arsenal] B: not long after you see Vesh board, the captain, first mate, and doc come back aboard ship. they look no worse than they left. *** Awaymancer is now known as Segev * Curuar stays back from the ship in the shadows and watches for about 15 minutes to see if anyone approaches the ship [Arsenal] Cur: nobody does * Curuar borads the ship when he's satisfied that no-one's watching boards * Sylvia looks from the mast down into the town. Oo Damn... what a disapointment...Oo "Evening, sir. Does the meteor's fall portend a change in our ship's course?" [Arsenal] "Perhaps, perhaps not. Not every omen applies to us." "As you say, sir." ""Where to after we get the surplus from our last travels sold?" [Arsenal] "But I'll have to cancel everyone's leave to get the ship ready for departure. There has been a change of schedule." "Ah." *thinks a moment* "I could send some of the men into town to shake down the bars for our guys. I think a dozen or so are still out there having fun." * Sylvia comes down from the mast * Sylvia *mumbling* about waste of time and no excitement under her breath * Monika comes back aboard. Fuggin' cantankerous old slavedrivers. * Veshengo shrugs. [Arsenal] "Make it so. We're taking on about ten new crewmembers, so we'll need to arrange room for them in the general quarters." "Aye sir." Oh, that's great. Oh well, still plenty of room up here... (+""s ) Bourne sets off at a run belowdecks, picks out a couple groups of men who were denied shoreleave to give them a chance to stretch their legs, tells them to turn the bars, whorehouses, tattoo parlors, and casinos upside down for our guys and be back by midnight. He also gets a powder monkey to fix up ten new hammocks. [Arsenal] "Ev'nin', Sylvia. Enjoying the sea air?" "So much for a glorious evening of fun, men, food, drink, and men." * Veshengo laughs. "Who says you can't have the men here?" "Well, you got in a fight, had us, ate a camel, quaffed something at least, and had me." "That's different, Veshengo. I'm sure that would be something the captain would frown upon." "Yes sire, until I saw that flame." "Hey, I didn't say it'd be 'acceptable'. " * Sylvia smiles at the Captain. "Thought maybe I'd be able to witness some entertainment from the 'heights' guess not, eh?" *chuckles* -e from the 'sire' hehe * Monika chuckles at Bourne's remark. "You may well have a point, but I was in the mood for something more... strenuous." Roller derby? ;) * Arsenal oocly keelhauls Cur ((LOL)) * Veshengo shrugs and stretches. He draws a pair of Scimitars and goes into something *very* similar to a Kata or a dance. While moving. "Oh? What's on your mind?" * Curuar gets below and gets out of his armor and back into his normal breachs and not much else. He wears his short sword as well as the his dagger, though. "Heard about the change, where are we heading to?" "Nothing that can't wait until next shore leave." (to Cap'n) [Arsenal] "I can't tell you. Not yet." * Curuar heads back up on deck. "What's that about leave, cap'n?" * Sylvia *nods* understandingly, *winks* "Ahhh one of 'those' changes in the schedule." She chuckles heartedly "Chitlins!" * Veshengo spins the two scimmys in front of him, then spins and swings them to the side into a crouch, where he brings them up in a flash of steel to a ready position. It didn't look bad at all, but he looks somewhat dissappointed. "That wa- What?" * Paradigm resumes snoring [Arsenal] "Leave is cancelled." * Monika turns to her fellow curtain-mate. "He doesn't make much sense, but he loves soup." Oh, I knew that already. What the heck is Para blabbering ab-... Wait, nevermind. [Arsenal] okay, given time, the crew is brought up to speed, and repairs to the hull begin almost immediately. A druid and a wizard are hired by the captain to permanently enchant the new hull with an ironwood spell. The next morning, the new crewmembers board the ship. [Arsenal] congrats, the ship is now home to a tribe of goblins. [Arsenal] ;) (+ ""s around my last statement.) "..." "Can I order them around!?" "Yrchs!" [Arsenal] Vesh: when you awake the next morning, your backside is covered with soot * Bourne watches the enchantment with interest, not being nearly capable enough to do stuff like that yet. goblins?? * Monika does another doubletake at the goblins. "Words," she says at length, "fail me." . . . What the heck? ". . . What the heck?" As long as they don't smell and don't try to eat anybody, Bourne will try to keep an open mind. * Sylvia does her morning prayer ritual "Why in the name of the Lords of Dordur are we taking on yrchs?!" * Paradigm hums to himself, pacing about the deck. "It doesn't make sense!" [Arsenal] "The goblins have signed on as crew. And I expect them to be treated like any other crewmember." "Goblins aren't Orcs, Curuar." "Okay, then explain what's up with the soot." *to Bourne* "Close enough." "Had I known taking the minotaur's message would result in goblins coming aboard in mass numbers, I daresay I would've gone back to watching all the young gentlemen." "But still, they are crew and all that..." * Curuar makes plans to do his trancing above decks "As long as they do their jobs, I say." [Arsenal] "Soot? Clean your bunk every so often." "Goblins! The ship is doomed within the first hundred yards of land!' * Veshengo brushes off his clothing. "Why do you think I'm upset about it? If I didn't clean it I wouldn't give a flippin' hoo-hah, but I do keep it clean." * Sylvia spies the goblins and *chuckles* under her breath. "More short stuffs walking about." * Monika looks at Vesh. "Has Paradigm been sleepcasting again?" * Bourne watches the goblins to see how well they handle themselves in the rigging, eyes the tides and wind. * Veshengo cracks his knuckles. [Arsenal] "Believe me, it could be worse. When I was a cabin boy, we had a few gnolls come aboard ship." "At least those you could bath regularly." * Sylvia *chuckles* at that GM: As is standard morning practice for me, I cast Predict Weather for the next couple of days. [Arsenal] B: the gobbos are naturals at rigging, it appears... (SOP for Sylvia is her morn ritual prayer/meditation at the port of the ship) "Wasn't me." "I don't have any soot spells." "Yeah. You'd probably blow a hole in the wall instead." [Arsenal] and for the immediate vicinity, you can expect high tides, clear skies, and winds out of the eastnortheast. "Yes, yes, a hole.." * Bourne reports this to the mate. "Well, at least we've got a fair wind to wherever it is we're going." [Arsenal] "Good. That'll let us set sail on the noon tide." * Veshengo goes back down to his bunk to figure out how the hell soot got on his back. <.< >.> [Arsenal] Vesh: there's soot coating the bunk. "Great. Juuuust great." * Veshengo scratches his head. Any clues other than 'coated in soot'? [Arsenal] Vesh: a few footprints on the floor. * Veshengo inspects the footprints. Humanoid, I'd assume. What kind? * Sylvia goes to her fav spot on the ship and overlooks the waters, silly grin upon her face as her emerald eyes shimmer with excitment. oO Ahhh the open seas once more...Oo [Arsenal] human * Curuar attends to his duties * Veshengo follows the footprints. Eh. It'll give more of a clue than anything else. [Arsenal] "Prepare to move out!" "Curuar, secure the nooring line!" Err. Duh. - "Aye, sir!" (ooc: Ack! I nearly said 'her tail twitched with excitement! *snrk* thinking wolfen here! hehe) * Monika ambles over to her station at the bow. (Do the footprints even lead anywhere, Arsenal?) [Arsenal] Vesh: they seem to head up to the main deck, but at the same time, you find that there's another set that start where Paradigm was sleeping. [Arsenal] The gobbos get the sails raised in no time. * Veshengo curses and heads above deck. Fuggin' duty calls. He takes his position and does his stuff. [Arsenal] Vesh: gimme a spot check. ;) d20+1 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Veshengo (d20+1) and gets 13. [Arsenal] 'k.. *files that away for later* (*snrk* dude did it in his sleep *snrk*) (Isn't it that obvious? :P) At the slight lurch of the ship when the wind catches the sails, Sylvia lets out a pent up sigh. oO And we're off! Oo [Arsenal] There comes a sound of a crack of a lightning strike in the distance, but the skies are clear and show no signs of a storm. * Monika enjoys the feel of the wind through her hair [Arsenal] will saves, everyone. * Veshengo keeps his balance on the ship easily enough. . o O (Nothing like getting underway once again.) * Bourne looks up, brows furrowing. . o O (Lightning? But not forecast. Dry sky thunderclap? Rare.) d20+2 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Veshengo (d20+2) and gets 8. . o O (Gunfire?) 1d20+2 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Monika (1d20+2) and gets 21. 1d20+1 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Curuar (1d20+1) and gets 4. ru-AHHHHHH *thud* :) 3d6 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Bourne (3d6) and gets 14. Pass. [Arsenal] Sylvia? Paradigm? [Arsenal] 1d20+3 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Arsenal (1d20+3) and gets 19. d20+2 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Paradigm (d20+2) and gets 20. 1d20+4 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Sylvia (1d20+4) and gets 5. *snrk* woo-hoo (Well, there's an auto-fail.) ((Actually, +4)) [Arsenal] the captain, mate, and crow's nest are scanning the skies with spyglasses. ((So 22)) (damn you had to say 'lightning' *sigh* hehehe I *never* make lightning saves in any RPG game) "Beware! Here there be dragons!" [Arsenal] "Blue dragon off the starboard bow!" "Leomond! Your friend is here! Aren't you excited!" His hand puppet talks back to him "I do wonder if he'd like to play chess with me sire!" you notice it's the one that's shaped like a blue dragon Ah hell. "Ah hell." Are dragons beasts or thinking creatures in this world? To our knowledge. [Arsenal] Indeed, as a speck in the sky gets larger, you see that it does indeed look like a blue dragon. A rather young one, at that, as it appears to be no larger than a man. * Monika breaks out her bow and arrows. [Arsenal] thinking creatures (Uh... If you were having us roll vs. the fear effect, I don't think that's even in effect until they're bigger. Much bigger.) "Don't shoot it!" "Shut yer yapping, blue whelp, it's time to BURN.." "Ferdinand! I'm offended!" "Shut up! We will BURN HIM FROM THE SKY." [Arsenal] I'd read the entry before looking it up on the table... my bad. * Sylvia *eyes* the flying beast in awe. "Wow...a blooming dragon!" (Heh. No problem. ^^;) "Not so much a blooming dragon as a shocking dragon, if memory serves." [Arsenal] It swoops in, and spits a bolt of lightning from its mouth, striking the forward sail and setting it ablaze. "Heave to, hand over the jools, and I'll let you live." * Paradigm grins diabolically, casting mage armor on himself * Veshengo pulls out his bow and arrows as well. "Blue ones are evil, right?" [Arsenal] "Over my dead body, dragon! Everyone, REPEL BOARDER!" [Arsenal] roll init * Monika draws back an arrow... d20+2 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Paradigm (d20+2) and gets 12. 1d20+3 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Monika (1d20+3) and gets 22. d20+4 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Veshengo (d20+4) and gets 10. (Ah, I love d20 init. So dang ANNOYING like that.) "Heave to? What a sailing speaking dragon? Now I've heard everything..." "We have no, 'jools', child of Ancaladon! Return to your nest!" *Gets a better grip on his jibline. * 3d6 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Bourne (3d6) and gets 12. 1d20+7 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Sylvia (1d20+7) and gets 10. [Arsenal] Cur: roll init 1d20+3 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Curuar (1d20+3) and gets 10. * Sylvia begins to cast or will on 10 rather [Arsenal] Syl, Cur, Bourne, Paradigm, what're your respective Dex scores? 17 12 on DX. 14 16 dex + improve initiative that's where the extra + come in [Arsenal] Vesh: what's your Dex? 18 [Arsenal] 1d20 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Arsenal (1d20) and gets 2. (how far away is this dragon?) [Arsenal] Mon: it's currently circling the ship about an average of 30 ft. away from everyone. [Arsenal] 1d20+3 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Arsenal (1d20+3) and gets 22. [Arsenal] combat goes Monika, rest of crew, Paradigm, Bourne, Vesh, Sylvia, Curuar, and the dragon [Arsenal] Monika's up. * Monika draws back an arrow. "How's this lovely bauble?" 1d20+8 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Monika (1d20+8) and gets 27. [Arsenal] damage? . o O (Why do I never have a bow near when I need one?!) 1d8+1 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Monika (1d8+1) and gets 7. [Arsenal] (what type bow?) (Masterwork mighty composite longbow, +1 dmg) [Arsenal] the arrow flies true, slipping between the dragon's scales, harming it. [Arsenal] the crew spends this action loading the ballista. [Arsenal] Paradigm's up * Paradigm fireballs dragon. [Arsenal] ranged touch attack. (Fireballs require ranged touch attacks?) d20+5 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Paradigm (d20+5) and gets 12. ((I didnt think they did)) [Arsenal] (he's trying to hit a moving target with a fireball) ((Unless one was trying to shoot through an enclosed space)) ((Ars, it's a fireball. how fast is this thing moving?)) * Arsenal rules that it gets close. ((Fireballs have spread.)) (If he's using the spell 'Fireball', he just has to target within 15 ft. of it. It shouldn't be *that* hard to judge. ^^;) [Arsenal] (just making sure he wasn't gonna hit the ship by accident) ( Especially with a dragon. They're not known for being miniscule targets. ) Fireball = artillery [Arsenal] (medium-sized blue dragon... human-sized airborne target) [Arsenal] 1d20+10 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Arsenal (1d20+10) and gets 14. [Arsenal] damage? 5d6 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Paradigm (5d6) and gets 18. [Arsenal] he's slightly cooked. "Gahahahaha!" [Arsenal] Bourne, you're up "Jerk, meet jerky." I begin casting Dehydrate, at full 3-Fatigue potency. It'll take two rounds. [Arsenal] 'k... [Arsenal] Vesh? * Bourne begins chanting and making vaguely rude hand motions at the dragon. * Veshengo draws back his shortbow and looses a shot at the dragon. d20+8 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Veshengo (d20+8) and gets 13. (Pfft.) [Arsenal] the arrow bounces off the hide [Arsenal] Sylvia's up juz casting bless help with attks Cues Van Halen's 'Jump' hehe [Arsenal] *nod* everyone except the dragon can add +1 to their attacks for the next 5 minutes (That applies to damage as well, I think.) [Arsenal] (looking it up... just attacks and saves vs. fear) Cu: You be up (Ah, so it does.) (don't think mend or make whole is gonna fix the burnt sail hehehe) [Arsenal] (gobbos can fix the sail) * Curuar shinnies his Half-Elf ass up to the crows nest, gauges height, speed, and distance. On the dragon's next go around, he'll leap from the crows nest to hopefully land between the beast's wings. (Can you climb that fast? @_@;) [Arsenal] gimme a climb check [Arsenal] and you cannot take 10 or 20 O_o Jump onto a moving man-sized target a dozen feet below? Good luck. If you miss, I hope you can break your fall against the water. ;^) I'm already in the rigging, my Climb Skill is eank 4 with a +3 modifier [Arsenal] roll it. 1d20 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Curuar (1d20) and gets 10. [Arsenal] +7... 17. [Arsenal] okay, you're halfway to the crow's nest. [Arsenal] the dragon, however, buzzes you. [Arsenal] 1d20+10 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Arsenal (1d20+10) and gets 30. Brb. If I'm not back by the time Bourne's up again, he completes his spell and unleashes it at the dragon, for 3d6-3 damage if the dragon fails an HT (toughness or constitution, basically) roll (save, whatever). (Crit threat. @_@;) [Arsenal] 1d20+10 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Arsenal (1d20+10) and gets 12. [Arsenal] (what's your current AC?) [Arsenal] (10 + Dex + armor + shield + magic) (No dex if he's climbing.) [Arsenal] (point... he's denied his dex bonus) (Vesh: or shield, for that matter) [Arsenal] (what shield? ;) 13 [Arsenal] for that matter, what armor? No armor or shield [Arsenal] Cur: is that with or without your dex bonus? With, so 10 * Veshengo notes that you should get a mithril chain shirt. It saves lives. [Arsenal] crit The life you save will be your own. One doesn't typically wear armor on a ship One doesn't typically run into dragons on a ship either. [Arsenal] 2d4+2 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Arsenal (2d4+2) and gets 6. [Arsenal] take 6 damage, and give me a Strength check 1d20+2 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Curuar (1d20+2) and gets 13. "O water pure, release thy bond / and hear thy native wish: be free / escape flesh for the world beyond / mine enemy forsake and flee!" [Arsenal] Bourne: wood does catch fire when hit with lightning, normally... [Arsenal] hold up... Monika's up. Ars: actually, that timing was right. My spell took effect at the very end of last round -- this round, I can declare a new action. [Arsenal] Monika: go with the same strike roll? [Arsenal] hmm... I was gonna say let it go off on your action. [Arsenal] that'll make it a full three rounds, as far as Bourne's concerned. Well, as long as I can act again this round. It takes two rounds to cast, not three. same strike roll, yes [Arsenal] *thunk* that one goes in. [Arsenal] damage? 1d8+1 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Monika (1d8+1) and gets 8. not bad not bad "We're not fighting a ship so don't bother with the cannons just now! Let fly the arrows! Peirce him to the ground and keep watch for any approaching ships!" (D'oh. Forgot to add the masterwork too. ^^;) "Ship ship ship! Shippy ship ship! La-lala-la-la!" [Arsenal] the crew pulls out their crossbows, but none are able to penetrate the hide. [Arsenal] Paradigm's up * Paradigm dances an awkward jig, letting fly three small fireballs in his right hand, juggling them a bit in the air as he dances about wildly, tossing them at the dragon one by one as they land in his palm (lesser fire orb)) 2d0+5 A zero sided die, how very clever, asshole. d20+5 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Paradigm (d20+5) and gets 25. ((WOOT)) * Sylvia will toss rope to Cur to help drag him in and once he's in she'll do a cure spell on him [Arsenal] the dragon roars in pain upon being burned. "Ha! Ha!" [Arsenal] Bourne's up... his dehydrate spell goes off . o O (... Wow. I didn't know his fireballs got that big.) "Give us the jewels lad! Give us the jewels! The family jewels!" Dragon gets whatever save they usually get against attack spells. [Arsenal] effects of the spell again? (Yeah. It has a fort for half, IIRC.) (Fire Orb, right?) ((Lesser fire orb, heh)) [Arsenal] 1d20+10 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Arsenal (1d20+10) and gets 30. Dehydrate. If the dragon failed a GURPS HT roll, I would do 3d6-3 damage. [Arsenal] ... oh-kay... That's the second critical success that dragon's rolled. :^) (Dragon succeeded, so that halves that massive 29 to a 15.) [Arsenal] 3d6 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Arsenal (3d6) and gets 13. ((Ah well)) [Arsenal] that passes it's HT roll... This is so cool. Critical success on attack *and* save! These two are going at it OLD SKOOL epic style! (I'll note that dragons have very nice saves.) "Burn burn burny burn burn! Hey, somebody get in my way and shield me from his wrath or something!" ( are we at Dive dive dive! yet?) I just did! [Arsenal] Sylvia: your action.... bringing him in rope toss and hopes he grabs and bring him in then do a cure spell [Arsenal] 'k... he's hurting, and his chest is as red as a dragon's. [Arsenal] cure spell will have to wait until next round. (A RED dragon.) dragon be up [Arsenal] Cur: you're still awake, and now on board ship. (Do I get a turn?) "DAMMIT! I need a bow!" [Arsenal] Vesh: did I skip you? sorry. [Arsenal] go "Well you know... diving isn't a good think to do from where you were." *chuckles * Veshengo fires another fuggin' arrow at the fuggin' dragon. (Arsenal: Is the dragon landing to do a full attack?) [Arsenal] (yes) [Arsenal] 1d8+3 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Arsenal (1d8+3) and gets 10. [Arsenal] 2d6+2 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Arsenal (2d6+2) and gets 13. [Arsenal] 1d4+1 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Arsenal (1d4+1) and gets 2. [Arsenal] the dragon practically lands on Paradigm, and proceeds to sink its teeth into Paradigm's shoulder while raking across his chest with its claws, and hitting him over the head with one wing. ((One of the d20+10 attackks didn't hit)) [Arsenal] (for a total of 25 points) "Yay!" (how far away is the dragon from me?) [Arsenal] *nod* that was the one wing [Arsenal] Monika: 20 ft. Someone latch that thing down! so I could get there in one round and attack, right? "Someone latch that thing down!" [Arsenal] yes (Keep forgeting quotes. ^^;) "Rope! Get the ropes! [Arsenal] Monika's up " Is the dragon attached to Paradigm, or has he released preparatory to striking again? [Arsenal] currently attached until its next action * Monika runs over to the dragon, slinging her bow and drawing her sword in one smooth motion as she runs to the attack. "Rope bearers, to me!" 1d20+9 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Monika (1d20+9) and gets 29. [Arsenal] a number of crewmembers bring out their ropes (OOC) o/~ Ave Maria... o/~ 1d20+9 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Monika (1d20+9) and gets 22. (Holy shit man. Dicey likes ya.) I do believe that is a bona-fide crit. [Arsenal] that it is [Arsenal] describe the action do bonii get added before or after the multiplication? (Before.) [Arsenal] roll twice what you normally roll. (So roll twice as many dice and add double the bonus.) I bring my rapier down into the beast's foot, hoping to staple it to the deck. [Arsenal] damage? 1d6+7 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Monika (1d6+7) and gets 12. 24 dmg (No, no.) [Arsenal] (it'll do) [Arsenal] (although technically she should have rolled 2d6+14) (She has +7 melee damage? Nice.) *shrug* whatever works. [Arsenal] the dragon roars, letting Paradigm go. "Yay!" (The 2d6+14 is to keep the numbers from royally sucking and rocking all dependent on one roll.) (Breaks down like this: +2 STR, +2 INT for Insightful Strike, +2 for Weapon Specialization, and +1 for enchantment. Drool.) [Arsenal] The crew starts roping the dragon. [Arsenal] 1d20 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Arsenal (1d20) and gets 2. [Arsenal] and somehow, they manage to rope each other. (How do you get weapon specialization *and* insightful strike at level 5?) "Yay!" [Arsenal] Paradigm's up "Shoooryuken!" (Simple, go swashbuckler and take a level of fighter at level 4.) (You have to be level 4 FIGHTER to take weapon specialization. ^^;) (Ars let me do it this time.) (Ah, okay. ^^;) * Paradigm mimics the dragon punch, alebit awkwardly, bleeding from several places. His hands turn into flames as he does so, shooting upwards at the dragon (the swashbuckler version I used was the one in Complete Warrior) (Burning hands) (which is essentially a fighter-oriented swash) (Yeah, well, what you have right there is the benifits of being a fighter without being a fighter. ^^;) * Paradigm takes a five foot step back afterwards, motioning for a crewman to get in his place and block off the dragon from mauling him to death (Hell, I'll take a level of fighter if I can get weapon spec with my scimmys. :P) (This is the Art of Fighting Without Fighting. %) ) [Arsenal] (see comments in #wet_bar, and move this convo there, please?) (Put the chatter in w- hey, nice job ars) (Sorry, didn't notice.) [Arsenal] Paradigm: you taking that five foot step before or after casting? (Before) [Arsenal] 'k... roll damage 5d4 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Paradigm (5d4) and gets 11. [Arsenal] Mon: gimme a reflex save 1d20+3 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Monika (1d20+3) and gets 15. [Arsenal] easy... [Arsenal] as the flames spread from the sorcerer's hands, Monika reflexively ducks back to avoid taking any damage from the flames. The searing heat of the flames have turned this blue dragon almost black. [Arsenal] and Bourne's up [Arsenal] (my bad... she takes half damage) I'll try to pin it to the deck. Shape Air, from above it, straight down. And I'll give it some real oomph. 6 Fatigue. "BBQ Dragon for lunch!! My specialty cruzine!" (characterized in the book as "heavy wind") [Arsenal] (and how long will that take to cast?) "Keep the damn thing from flying, at least." It's a 1-rounder. "I'm sorry Moni! Moni moni moni moni..MONI!" (As sung to the tune of "money") [Arsenal] 'k... Bourne gestures broadly, as if grabbing ahold of something high up, and slamming it down onto the dragon. [Arsenal] a really strong gust of wind comes down, and the dragon is slammed against the deck. [Arsenal] Vesh is up 3d6 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Bourne (3d6) and gets 12. "Para baka, Para baka, you're a smuck! You're a smuck!" 3d6 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Bourne (3d6) and gets 9. * Veshengo draws his rapier and a kukri, takes the position opposite the dragon from Monika, and takes one swing with said weapon of pointy death. d20+12 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Veshengo (d20+12) and gets 30. [Arsenal] *pierce* (sung to the tune of "Frere Jacques") (I think that's a crit threat.) (Yup. ^_^) d20+12 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Veshengo (d20+12) and gets 29. *@crit* ((I think that's a crit)) 4d6+4 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Veshengo (4d6+4) and gets 16. [Arsenal] that is definitely a crit (That's including the sneak attack.) [Arsenal] ow That... was... poor. [Arsenal] the dragon is reeling now... burned and bleeding from several places. [Arsenal] Sylvia's up. Paradigm's in almost as bad shape as the dragon * Veshengo pulls out his rapier and smirks. "Punk." * Paradigm seems happy. "Step right up for healing!!" She looks at Cur, "You want some?" Smiles with a smirk "I'll buy that for a gold piece." * Sylvia *chuckles* casts Cure Mod Wnds (ack 3rd ed differ for the dice roll...que es?) [Arsenal] (2d8 + 1/lvl) (Uh... 2d8+1/level. Max is +10.) 2d8+5 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Sylvia (2d8+5) and gets 12. "I want some too!" "By the powers granted to me by my god, the god of light..." (May the Force be with you... or is that Schwartz?) Just say it anime! [Arsenal] Sylvia: who're you healing? (I see your Schwartz is as big as mine!) Cur since he was right there Glancing at Para "Step right up! Your the next one..." [Arsenal] 'k... Cur is healed of 12 points... [Arsenal] and is up (how many more down Cur be?) * Curuar pulls his shortsword and a dagger and moves to striking distance of the Wyrmling [Arsenal] I think he's close to fully healed Back up to 29 of 35 ((Heh, Paradigm has more HP than cur.)) [Arsenal] (it's not a wyrmling, it's a young dragon) That, too [Arsenal] (Wyrmlings are the size of the gobbos (*snrk*) ((Not *currently*, but hey..)) (Para gonna want some healing?) ((Hell yes.)) [Arsenal] Cur: gonna attack or just stand there posing? Am I in striking distance? Thought I was 30 or more feet away from it [Arsenal] 20 ft. [Arsenal] you're also dripping wt. [Arsenal] wet 'k Sneak attack with the shortsword and dagger [Arsenal] from behind, I take it? yep (Can't use the second weapon. Need a full attack to do that. And who are you flanking? ^^;) [Arsenal] (dragon is denied his non-existant dex bonus from being pinned by the wind) (Oh, that works.) 1d20+4 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Curuar (1d20+4) and gets 11. (* hopes that didn't sound sarcastic. ^^;) nah "Ya know...I feel sorry for the poor thing. It is only trying to make a living the only way it knows." She says as she frowns, sadness appears momentarily in her eyes as she eyes the poor beast [Arsenal] stabbitystabbitystabbity "what part of die now do you not understand?" "Dude, it's blue, it's evil, it's a dragon, and it tried to kill us." [Arsenal] meaning, the blade has no effect, clinking off the dragonscales. Ah yes. The virtues of Stabbitydeath. "Well, all I know is that this thing will not be attacking any more ships." * Sylvia *raises* her eyebrows "All life is precious, even if it is evil. It cannot help for what it is." . o O (Son of a Balrog!) [Arsenal] Dragon manages to turn its head, and lets a blast loose at Paradigm. [Arsenal] 1d20+15 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Arsenal (1d20+15) and gets 30. "Hon, I consider myself fairly openminded. But this thing threatened our lives for our money. Blast it." "We're having dragon for dinner crew! EEP!" "That, however, is gross. It's a sentient being." "Generally when something's trying to kill you for money, it's evil." "And edible!" "... Eww?" "Couldn't have said it better myself, Vesh!" "I did not deny the fact of its alignment, only implying of it's life." d20+3 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Paradigm (d20+3) and gets 11. "This is not the time for a philosophical debate, dammit!" [Arsenal] 1d86d8 [Arsenal] er... [Arsenal] 6d8 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Arsenal (6d8) and gets 29. "I was awaiting the wizard, if he indeed wishes healing." Sylvia shrugs lightly as she watches the combat with some distress. and I'm up. [Arsenal] and the blast hits Paradigm. He crackles, and falls over, no longer breathing. * Monika pulls the rapier out and jabs up into the dragon's belly. *** Paradigm is now known as RustAngel 1d20+9 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Monika (1d20+9) and gets 25. [Arsenal] damage? 1d6+7 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Monika (1d6+7) and gets 8. That. Sucked. [Arsenal] the dragon falls unconscious "Well there goes that..." *grumbles under her breath* as she heads to the wizard * Sylvia kneels down at the wiz checking life and prepares her strongest healing spell if he's alive *** RustAngel is now known as Paradigm * Paradigm is quite dead. * Sylvia hrms...oO I don't sense life in him...what a waste of life...Oo [Arsenal] Sylvia: heal check? 1d20+12 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Sylvia (1d20+12) and gets 31. * Monika pulls the rapier out. "That was for the madman." overkill on that 31 daaaaamn [Arsenal] Syl: he's beyond your currrent skill to heal. (*success not possible*) (The dragon's unconcious, right?" ) (sorry, bit of a NWN system reference) "Sad...another life to join the Light... MTFBWY...Navor guide his essence to join the light." [Arsenal] (right... -6 HP) * Veshengo snickers. "Hey, what do you say we tie this thing down and force it to tell us where its treasure is?" * Monika stares down at the dragon. "All right, boys, who's for boots?" "I like that idea, Vesh." [Arsenal] -7 HP "Tie'em down!" "...Hello?!? You have a dead crewmate! Maybe we could give him a sea- burial before we start talkign about carving up the mugger for boots!" * Sylvia nods her head as tears fall. oO The pain was agonizing...not quite quick...Oo "What do you think about Veshengo's plan, Captain?" [Arsenal] The captain walks up. "There is a chance to save him, if Miss Sylvia would be willing." * Veshengo turns around and looks down at Paradigm and shrugs. "What can I say. It was bad karma." * Curuar sheaths his weapons and gives the ship a quick looking over at any damage it may have taken * Sylvia looks up at that. "What?" "Put a sock in it, Mr. Bourne... sir! The dead will keep!" Hope burns in her eyes, "What, Captain?" [Arsenal] "The doctor has a scroll that none of us can use, but you can. A resurrection scroll. We only have one." It is obvious that Monika is trying to fight back grief. . o O (... ooh. Necromancy. Icky.) * Sylvia eyes widden. "That is above my skills...but I could try." She looks a little uncertain, but resolve flashes thru her expression. "Yes...I will try. All life should have a second go." * Veshengo flicks the blood off his blade and sheathes it, mumbling under his breath. * Sylvia gets up from the deck. "I will attempt this." ((or a third..oy..if she only knew..)) [Arsenal] "I'll go get the scroll." (*snrk*) "I hope to Trys that you're using it on our shipmate, Sylvia." [Arsenal] (-9 on the dragon) [Arsenal] (dragon's still alive, for now) "He is the only one dead..." * Monika wipes the blood off her rapier before sheathing it. [Arsenal] -10... the dragon passes away. * Veshengo rolls his eyes and glances at the dragon. "So much for that plan. The dragon'll be dead soon too, and we won't have anythin' to show for it." * Curuar gets acouple of the crew to help him tie the dragon down and clamp it's jaws shut "And since it isn't *my* scroll to choose whom to use it on." Scratch that [Arsenal] the captain returns with the scroll, and hands it to Sylvia. * Sylvia *gulps* and takes the scroll oO Find your center kid...you can do this...Oo "Hey, I'm not telling you to use the scroll on the dragon. I'm just tellin' ya to keep it from dying so we can figure out some way to get somethin' out of this other than a dragon's carcass." "Can another spellcaster help her in this? Provide energy, life support, anything? -" * Sylvia opens the scroll and attempts to do the possible/impossible (Nope. It's just a pure spellcraft check now.) [Arsenal] Sylvia: what's your Wis score? *** Sylvia (JediKnight@as01-lrx-ar-205-184-26-40.rasserver.net) has quit IRC [Read error: Connection reset by peer] [Arsenal] oops ...ugh Blargh [Arsenal] (I'm hoping it's at least a 17, or this won't work period) *** Sylvia (JediKnight@as01-lrx-ar-205-184-26-40.rasserver.net) has joined #highseas re [Arsenal] 're [Arsenal] Sylvia: what's your Wis score? *** Mode change [+o Sylvia] on #highseas by Curuar 1d20+7 * Diceroshi throws the bones for Sylvia (1d20+7) and gets 17. ack add another +1 got +4 for wiz and 4 ranks in spellcraft [Arsenal] Sylvia: what's your Wis score? 18 sorry (I didn't do that properly, Syl.) (It's supposed to be a caster check.) (So d20+caster level.) ahh hehe so I need to do d20+5 then? ((if it was a d20+5, it's 15)) [Arsenal] yeah, d20+5... [Arsenal] and the 15 is a pass... oh did it already then? Spell goes off without a hitch. good * Sylvia *sighs* thanking her god and his powers of the light [Arsenal] The spell is cast without a hitch, and Paradigm is brought up to 0 HP. He wakes up. o/` La Marseillaise! o/` [Arsenal] dazed, but alive "The Light was with us..." Keep him down, would ya? He's gonna try doing some crazy stuff, I know it. "Welcome back to the land of the living, Para." "*Holy* shi..." *cough* "Keep him down, would ya? He's gonna try doing some crazy stuff, I know it." "It's...Neil..actually.." "Welcome back, shipmate. Was there a light or a street sign at the end of the tunnel?" * Sylvia *hrms* "Interesting...multi personality wizard?" *** Paradigm is now known as Neil . o O (Gods. I wonder what in hell he's going to be dreaming about at night *now*.) "That's the fourth time..so Neil IV." * Sylvia eyes the dragon sadly oO A pity...Oo "Some additional healing, if you will "Captain! Should we dump the wreck overboard, or is there a market for dragon-hide?" (was that raise dead or ressurection? a full res brings you at full) (or it used too..) "Strange way of keeping track... Par--errr, I mean, Neil." ((It was Rez, heh, forgot about that)) * Veshengo looks at the dragon. "And as for you..." He takes his Kukri and cleanly takes off several of the talons. [Arsenal] (ressurrection, 7th level spell... Vesh?) * Neil slowly gets up. "Sylvia..Thank you.." (Yeah. If it was True Ressurection, it'd have been a DC 18 check.) * Bourne gets a little queasy at the hacking apart of the dragon, heads to the other end of the ship. * Sylvia walks away from them as they start hacking on the dragon... to her fav spot on ship to overlook the waters "You're welcome..." saying as she leaves "Save me one of the fangs, ok?" * Neil scritches his head, which now has a permanent white streak through it * Veshengo manages to obtain a few of the tallons and fangs. "I was plannin' on it." ^_^ * Sylvia attempts to keep her naseous away * Monika walks over to join Sylvia. [Arsenal] "There is a market for dragonskin where we're going. Not sure how much a small carcass as this will net us, though." oO Mutilation...though his parts can be used...still a waste.Oo * Neil looks to the Captain. "Sorry about all the trouble.." Not much... * Sylvia *sighs* watching the ripples on the waters and the few fish that swim by Not to mention that the hide is brned to a crisp. ;^) [Arsenal] punctured and charred... * Veshengo walks over to where Sylvia and Monika are. "Well, you don't look too healthy right now. Ya just brought someone back to life, shouldn't ya feel a little better?" [Arsenal] "I hope you learned your lesson this time." "I think a bit got sorted out." * Curuar does an after-action replay for himself, winces at that stupid mistake off the rigging "Pray, don't misread the situation here... she's not much for butchery." "Are you all right, Sylvia?" * Neil looks to the dragon. "I see we got it. Good work everybody." "A life has been saved...yes I do feel better. But it is still sad to see another fade away. And what a bright light he had. Even if it was tainted by darkness." "Master Bourne, please remind me never to take up flying as a vocation." [Arsenal] "Come on, people, back to work! We have a ship to run! ... Someone skin that dragon and feed the remains to the dire sharks." * Monika nods. "I finished it off just after it got you." * Veshengo nods. "I can tell that. Still... Killin' a dragon's not too common." "I trust you have that fang for me, Vesh?" * Curuar gets back to his duties "Captain, it attacked the Ballistae, you might want to direct your spotters to be on the watch, he may have been disabling it for a ship." "A sad waste...and young still." * Bourne swallows and heads back. He taps Sylvia on the shoulder and whispers. "Hey... it was a sentient being. I know the crew wouldn't be fond of you doing it aloud, but whisper it a prayer as we put it into the sea, okay?" [Arsenal] the captain nods, and has a note sent up to the crow's nest * Bourne checks the sails and rigging to make sure nothing was too badly damaged in the fight. * Sylvia looks up at Bourne. "I will, fear not. It is required." She smiles sadly "Would you terribly mind giving me my quarters and rank back? I doubt on my own accord that you'll see further insolence. * Veshengo smirks. "Of course." He hands Moni one of the large canines. [Arsenal] B: the gobbos are already at work taking down the damaged sail and replacing it. * Curuar gets below decks quick to retrieve his longbow and quiver * Monika puts said tooth into a pouch at her belt, for setting as a pendant, perhaps. "Also, I'd like the eyes." * Bourne stands next to Neil for a minute as he observes the condition of the ship. "It's, uh. It's... good you're not dead." He considers this. "I'd go so far as to say I'm glad you're not." * Veshengo picks up his longbow and puts it in his backpack, along with a huge mess of dragon teeth and a bunch of talons in the other compartments. "What for?" * Sylvia closes her eyes momentarily to regain her calm. oO The death...any death affects me this way. Even after the many I've had to deal with. Why does it affect me so? 'All life is precious, regardless of views or customs.' Oo [Arsenal] *to Neil* "Not just yet. You appear more sane now than when you came on, but you still have to earn the rank back." * Neil nods to the Captain. * Neil smiles to Bourne. "Looks like you've got quiet quarters for now." "I could do with getting these singes healed, Sylvia." * Sylvia opens her eyes, blushing slightly. "I'm sorry. Here...by the powers..." [Arsenal] The captain clears his throat. "We do have a regular doctor on board. No sense wasting our resident cleric's healing on minor burns." * Sylvia pauses "If he can... if not then I will help you Monika." "Right. I'll lay below and see the doctor if that's all right with you." "Let me know then, ok whether or not he can help." "I will." [Arsenal] and... it's approaching 2am here... * Neil , seeing that he's not at the moment completely incapable of helping, sets to work helping the crew fix the ship * Sylvia *nods* at Monika and returns her attention to the calming affects of the water * Curuar goes about his duties * Monika lays below and goes to sick bay. [Arsenal] "Mr. Curuar, take the watch in the nest!" * Veshengo sits on the side-rail of the ship, keeping perfect balance. He climbs up the rigging and gets to work running up and down the sail masts to make sure they're tied down properly. "Aye, sir!" *Shinnies his Hlaf-Elf ass up to the nest* [Arsenal] and... a good place to stop for the night, methinks... * Bourne keeps an eye on the progress of the repair work. Yeah. *** Curuar is now known as UpLink *** Neil is now known as RustAngel [Arsenal] ----------------------- CHOP! *AIEE!* -----------------------
